NRG+ Learning Management System
OEG 2023
When I joined OEG (formerly ONRG) in 2023, I was tasked with selecting and implementing a Learning Management System to replace PowerPoint-based training and support the rollout of digital learning across the business. The main goal was to reduce costs of in person training. This is because a high level engineer would need to be deployed to conduct this in person training. Also, training can be requested at last minute when someone is offshore.
I led the end-to-end LMS implementation, evaluating vendors, defining business requirements and selecting Abara as the best-fit platform. I felt this was the best platform as a small company, ONRG had strict cost restrictions. Following implementation, I created the NRG+ brand and visual identity, configured the platform, and continue to manage the system, supporting learners and administrators, troubleshooting issues, producing guidance documentation, and working closely with the LMS provider to deliver ongoing improvements.
NRG+ now supports internal training across OEG and has expanded to deliver authorisation programmes for external organisations operating under our Electrical Safety Management Rules. We now also set up clients LMS using Abara and manage this internally.
