Objective: AWS required an effective means of updating their employees on recent training courses, with a specific focus on Insights discovery results. To tackle this challenge, I envisioned and developed an internal communications email tailored to AWS employees.

Challenges: Historically, employees at AWS encountered difficulties when creating similar emails using Microsoft Word. To address these issues, I sought a more efficient solution.

Approach: My approach involved using a user-friendly drag-and-drop HTML editor, bypassing the previous issues associated with Microsoft Word. Additionally, I designed bespoke illustrations and imagery using Adobe Illustrator, drawing inspiration from iStock and aligning them with AWS's distinctive style. This approach ensured that the email template was accessible to other staff members, empowering them to create similar communications with ease.

Results: The email, distributed to 1,000 employees, yielded exceptional results with a high click-through rate and open rate. The email builder has now become an integral part of the L&D team's toolkit, saving valuable time creating emails on Microsoft Word. Furthermore, we extended our support by creating templates for staff members, allowing for streamlined communication throughout AWS.
